I hired Emerald City Cleaning for a move-in/move-out clean when I moved out of my condo and was getting ready to rent it. My condo is a 2BR/1BA, 780 sq ft. The scheduling process was easy and smooth. They have a centralized point of contact for scheduling who is very responsive both by phone and email. Scheduling is done in windows so you don’t know exactly when the cleaning people will arrive, but they give you a call when they are nearby. There were two employees who worked on my unit. I escorted them up to my unit, and they began working immediately. I was not present for the cleaning, but when I came back, I noticed that they had done an excellent job. I had provided them with a list of surfaces/items/rooms to clean, in order of priority, before the scheduled appointment. I was pleased to find out that they completed everything on the list, plus more! They even cleaned the floor of the closet where my washer/dryer are kept. I would definitely recommend their services.

Cleaners showed up on time and were pretty fast & thorough. My only issues were: (a) they didn’t bring a stepstool, and I had moved everything out of my apartment (because it was a move-out cleaning), so they had a hard time reaching ceiling fans, etc., (b) they spoke barely any English, so it was difficult to communicate (I wanted to encourage them to do the bathroom last so I could remove some curtains, and that was almost impossible to do), and (c) I didn’t understand the way the service works – you are paying for 2 hours, and whatever they can accomplish in that amount of time. At 2 hours they indicated that they were finishing up but hadn’t had a chance to work on the bathroom at all. Which meant that I had to come back another time to clean it. That’s fine, but I thought the description was unclear and that I was paying for a thorough cleaning, which should take about 2 hours (in fact, it was the opposite – I paid for 2 hours). Also, they asked me if I wanted things cleaned (e.g., refrigerator, cabinets) that I thought were clearly included in the job. I would consider using the service again, but thought others should know about my experience!

Tried using Amazon services for the first time and I hit a home run with Maid 4 Cleaning. Alba showed up with her team of 4 to do a move out cleaning of my one bedroom apartment (though I am told this was unusual; they usually send just 2). They did a fantastic job in less than 2 hours. The place was spotless, and I had a flawless walkthrough with the apartment manager immediately thereafter.
I just have one negative remark, and that was that they were almost 2 hours late and did not give me any notice. I had to call Amazon customer service to get in contact with Alba, which could have been avoided if I had her number. It turned out that she was stuck in traffic due to a big accident, so I believe timeliness wouldn’t be a problem in the future.
