I don’t care if they smell like plastic., November 3, 2014

I need 3 mil. thick trash bags, but they are so expensive. I need them to be strong enough to not break when I have about 20 lbs of dog poop and pea gravel in it. This does the job. Other “cheap” brands have torn on me, and that was more than unpleasant.

They have a strong plastic smell, but did I mention I use these for dog poop? I don’t care if they smell like plastic… better than what I’m putting in there.

Good value but limited practicality, November 16, 2014

Though a good value (considerably cheaper than the Husky brand that I usually purchase) it suffers from two flaws:

    1. The bag lacks flaps to tie it closed – it comes with twist-ties which are easy to misplace, and pretty useless on a bag that is heavy and stuffed.

    2. Though it is a true 3 mils thick and made with 90% recycled plastic the objects inside the bag easily rip and poke through. When I choose to use a contractor bag I know I will be putting heavy and/or odd shaped objects that would destroy a standard trash barrel liner. These bags are only slightly better than a standard bag and therefore of limited use in a heavy duty situation. The Husky bags are far superior in this regard.

I would recommend these bags only if you are discarding items without a lot of hard corners on them and you don’t mind not having a handle (created by tying the flaps together) to carry the full bag. In this regard it is good and less than half the cost of the Husky bags.

Good value on very thick 42 gallon trash bags. Good to have some extras around. These are thick enough to double as a tarp or covering in a pinch. USA Made. Nothing will leak or punch through accidentally.
